Still Rocking CDs - Rocker Chair

Introducing our ‘Still Rocking CDs?’ rocking chair, fabricated from our signature material RE-CD, made 100% from recycled waste CDs. Each individual chair contains over 2000 discs, which equates to around 2 months of music!

'Still Rocking CDs?' was first exhibited at Milan Design Week 2023. Its music inspired design hints back to the origins of rock 'n' roll or, more specifically, ‘rocking and rolling’, a phrase used by 17th-century sailors to describe the rhythmic back and forth movement of a ship on the sea.

Did you know?

CDs, due to their complex composition, are notoriously hard to recycle. In repurposing CDs, we aim to take the indestructible nature of the CD plastic and make it an asset rather than a threat to our eco-systems. For that reason, our rocking chairs are built for longevity and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

What materials do you use?

Our signature material, RE-CD, is made from 100% recycled CDs (primarily Polycarbonate), whereas our KRUSHED Sheets are generally made from 100% Polypropylene. These are both hard plastics that bring a unique aesthetic to our furniture.
